Jessy Rosson, MACMH, Clinical Intern

Life has many seasons, and each new season brings about tremendous change. This change can be exciting and invigorating but also stressful and difficult to navigate. Regardless of the season you find yourself in, I believe that you have the skills and strength necessary to achieve balance and peace. I will strive to provide a sanctuary for you to go deep into your hopes, fears, and dreams and discover your path forward. We will work together to strengthen relationships, manage stress and anxiety, evaluate grief and trauma, and ultimately find the path to your best life.

My Education

I received my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Biology from Arizona State University, Magna Cum Laude. After working with children and their families on the peripheral in education for many years, I wanted to pursue a degree in which I can make a direct impact in the lives of those in my community. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the Townsend Institute at Concordia University, Irvine. I am also a current student member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Arizona Counseling Association (AzCA)

My Professional Journey

My life has also seen many seasons and I have taken the scenic route in many of my professional endeavors. My love of all things people and relationships started me in a successful commercial sales position. A client saw a knack for business and convinced me to run his small construction firm as the Director of Business Operations. He, and my family, had always encouraged me to pursue a formal degree, which led me to my enrollment at ASU. My parents are both schoolteachers, so I went into the “family business” and have been teaching and working with young people and their families for many wonderful years. However, it became apparent that the real need for many families is within the home and not within the school. My passion is to help people discover their hidden strengths to bring about impactful, life-long change.

In Addition to Therapy

When I am not helping others, I am filling my cup with my family and road trips. Our favorite thing is filling the van with kids and crumbs and beach sand. At home, I enjoy playing tickle-monster with my kids, being the stereotypical “soccer mom”, game night, and competing with the younger kids at the CrossFit gym.
