Samantha Dow

I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s complexities. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can build resilience, gain insight, and grow. I believe you are the expert in your own life—and I’m here to support you in fostering personal growth, building secure relationships, and finding clarity. It’s an honor to walk alongside you as you uncover new possibilities.

Education & Training

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, with a minor in Justice Studies. I am currently completing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. I’ve also received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a highly effective model for couples and relationship work. I feel incredibly fortunate to be completing my internship at AZ Pinnacle Counseling, where I’ve found a supportive and enriching environment to grow as a therapist.

Professional Journey

I began my career in mental health as a Residential Rehabilitation Specialist at a nonprofit community agency. In that role, I had the privilege of supporting individuals through major life transitions and learning just how powerful consistent, compassionate care can be.

From there, I worked as a Behavioral Health Technician at an inpatient psychiatric facility. It was in this setting that I truly discovered my passion for creating therapeutic, supportive relationships. I witnessed how people can adapt, heal, and build resilience when given the space and connection to do so.

These experiences deepened my dedication to the counseling field and continue to inspire my work today.

Outside the Therapy Room

Originally from New Hampshire, I’m excited to explore everything Arizona has to offer. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking with my dog Roxi, reading fantasy novels, spending time with friends and family, or enjoying the outdoors. I also love to travel—some of my favorite places so far include Scotland, Iceland, and Italy, and I’m always looking forward to the next adventure!
